The artistic director. The Foreman is in charge of deciding
what dances will be danced, when they will be danced and who will be dancing
them. Invariably, the Foreman is responsible for anything and everything
that goes wrong. The holder of this office is elected (forcibly) at the
Annual General Meeting. |
| Squire |
The president. The Squire is in charge of all administrative
issues involving the group. Often handles bookings and is responsible for
insuring that the group knows where it is going and how it is supposed
to get there. The holder of this office is elected at the Annual General
Meeting |
| Vice Squire |
Head of the England tour planning.
The Vice Squire is in charge of our vices and our 2004 England tour; |
| Bagman |
The treasurer. The Bagman is in charge of all receiving
all money taken in and for paying all of the bills. The holder of this
office is elected at the Annual General Meeting. |
| Scribe |
The secretary. The Scribe handles correspondance and assists
with the duties of the Squire. The holder of this office is selected from
the literate members and elected at the Annual General Meeting. |
| Webmaster |
In Charge of maintaining electronic access to allow for maintenance of webpages and intrateam communications |
| Dancer |
Any member that can remember how at least one of the dances
goes and is willing to demonstrate this knowledge in a public place. May
or may not currently be injured. |
| Apprentice |
A new member of the group who has not yet danced publically. |
| Muso |
Any member that owns a musical (or semi-musical) instrument
and is willing to play it in a public place. |
| Hobby |
Animator of John Barleycorn, our Hobby Horse (Unicorn,
actually...) |
| Hobby Wrangler |
Former Hobby, but still stables the horse until a new home can be found. |
| Rag Lady |
This person helps out with producing the "kit" or costume
that we wear while performing. |
| Brewer |
Any member that supplies homebrewed ale for a Moreton Bay
Fig Morris event. |
| Brewmaster |
Any member that supplies good homebrewed ale for
a Moreton Bay Fig Morris event. |
| Armourer |
Any member stupid and/or unlucky enough to be stuck carrying
the stickbag. Not to be confused with the Bagman. |
